This event was a wonderful opportunity to meet Dan Everts as he shared his pruning techniques and philosophy, while doing a bit of off-season pruning as a demonstration. In addition to learning many of his self-taught aesthetic pruning skills to create beautiful structures, we viewed dozens of mature cultivar examples that had been groomed by him for as many as 20 years.
The day was further made most enjoyable by a bit of potluck with snacks, desserts and beverages for adults and the young-at-heart.
